Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 crews near Chillicothe were wrapping up their operations Saturday morning following yesterday's storm.
Snowplow operators continue plowing and treating the state highway system in Adams, Brown, Highland and Ross counties where crews are reporting snow and ice on numerous routes...particularly in Highland County and northern and western Brown County which received higher amounts of precipitation.
In Ross County, primary routes are mostly clear and wet; however, some secondary routes are snow covered and icy.
In Jackson, Lawrence, Pike and Scioto counties, where they received less precipitation, crews have completed their operations and pavement is reported as clear and wet.
Although conditions have improved and crews will stay on duty until roads are cleared, motorists need to continue using additional caution. Pavement that is clear and wet may be slick...and with cold temperatures, ice could form due to freezebacks.
