Seeds of Hope Under Constraint

The "Seeds of Hope" shelter for women and young children has had to refocus their vision for now, in light of occupancy restrictions placed on their current location, because of zoning.

Jack Waters of Seeds of Hope says they currently are limited to only five persons in their shelter, and seeking anything larger or a zoning change isn't being pursued at this point.

He says until they find a location where they can house more homeless people, they are trying to direct efforts to assisting needy individuals...before they become homeless.

Waters says a long-term possibility could be converting Tiffin School into a shelter, if the city schools were able to get approval for constructing a new central elementary building.
