Circleville Council heard an update from the Downtown Business Association.
President Sue Lumley mentioned the group's cooperative ideas, which include sidewalk seating, enhanced plantings, and directional signage to off-street parking.
And, the annual Downtown Sidewalk Sale is this Thursday through Saturday. New this year, Lumley says part of Court Street will be closed off the last evening for food, drinks, shopping...and a children's bouncy house.
The city auditor told Circleville Council she was happy with her 'report card' from the state.
In the annual audit, Gayle Spangler said it was the first time in her 14 years that there were no suggestions for improvements.
In her report to council, she said the city's budget is a little lopsided so far, with spending outpacing revenue - but she expects that to balance out in teh second half.
She also mentioned that the income tax revenues are increasing...but that can fluctuate.
Her perfect audit can be found on the city's website, <ci.circleville.oh.us>.
And in a committee meeting, council discussed annexation of Ohio Christian University in order to assist them with sewage service.
