The SCOL was represented Saturday at the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association annual North / South All Star Game at Dayton Welcome Stadium.
There were 5 players and 2 coaches as a part of the day's activities.
Division 1 thru 3 - Big School Division
Chillicothe's Ron Hinton was the South squad Head Coach, and two of his offensive lineman, Josh Leonard and Tyler Howard were members of the unit.
The North All Stars, though, defeated the South by a 23-14 score.
Hinton was selected in 2001 to be the head coach but had to miss the contest while in the hospital recovering from bypass heart surgery. Coach Hinton led the Cavaliers to a playoff berth this past season.
Division 4 thru 7 - Small School Division
Clinton Massie Bayle Wolf ran and also threw for a score as the South defeated the North 28-27 in overtime.
Wolf hit Reading tight end Shane Roy for a 2nd quarter TD pass that gave the South a 7-3 lead. Wolf, heading to play college football at Army, then scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime. He was named the South team Offensive Player of the Game.
Meanwhile his teammate Kelson Gauden was named the South squad Defensive Player of the Game. Wolf and Gauden were members of the Falcons back-to-back Division 4 state champions.
Miami Trace Head Coach Steve Bartlett was an assistant on the South squad, and one of the players, lineman Hayden Bottorff, was also selected to play in the contest.
