The Paint Valley Bearcats rolled past South Webster 84-47 in their Division 4 District Semifinal Thursday night.
South Webster was first to get on the board, jumping out to a 5-0 lead. Paint Valley's Anthony McFadden hit a jump shot to get the Bearcats on the board and start what became a great shooting performance by Paint Valley at the Convocation Center.
Paint Valley led at every break during the game stretching their lead to as many as 40 points.
Paint Valley had three players in double figures. The Bearcats were led by Anthony McFadden with 31 points and 7 rebounds. Mason McCloy finished with a double-double, 22 points and 10 rebounds. Clay Stratton also put up a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
As a team, the Bearcats shot 50% from the field going 30/60. From the foul line Paint Valley was 19/28 for 68%. Paint Valley shot 5/17 from behind the arc for 29%. The Cats also won the rebounding battle 46-30.
For the Jeeps, Levi Cook led the way with 26 points. South Webster committed 13 turnovers for the game. The Jeeps shot 29% from the field and were 11/17 from the charity stripe for 65%.
Paint Valley advances to the District Final against Leesburg Fairfield Saturday morning at 10am in Athens. WKKJ airtime at 9:45am.
