SCOL SEASON ENDS...THREE THOUGH MAY MOVE ON TO WEEK 11

If all holds thru Saturday's game it looks like Clinton-Massie, Miami Trace & Chillicothe all qualify for the OHSAA playoffs starting next weekend. Sites & opponents will probably be better known after Saturday night's games. Official pairings will be released Sunday afternoon so check with WCHO Radio & our web sites for updates.

MIAMI TRACE 42, WASHINGTON CH 10

Blue Lions fans may had a hint it was going to be a long night after the team fumbled the opening kickoff. Trace Trevor Haines scored moments later & put Trace up 6-0 in a game where they never trailed. Blake Pittser added the PAT (he would go a perfect 7 of 7).
Haines went over 1000 yards rushing & added 2 TDs to his season total. Jimmy Stroker threw a TD & ran for another.

Washington CH Malik Pettiford returned a kickoff 85 yards for a score & Noah Mesker added a field goal.
Washington CH finished at 5-5 for the season & in 4th place in the SCOL at 3-3. Miami Trace now is 7-3 & clinched its 1st playoff berth since 2005.

CLINTON-MASSIE 31, EAST CLINTON 0

The Falcons ran their outright SCOL championships to 6 years in a row after pulling away from the Astros. Leading only 8-0 at the half Chayse Wolf scored twice in the 3rd period as the Falcons ran their SCOL winning streak to 38 in a row. Wolf finished with 138 yards & 3 TDs.

Astros was held to minus 10 yards rushing & Dalton Floyd passing attack was shut down going only 4 of 20 for 21 yards & had 2 passes picked off.

GREENFIELD MCCLAIN 53, HILLSBORO 14

Hillsboro took the opening kickoff & scored on a Jordan Mosley 26 yard drive to make it 6-0. That was the last time they had the lead as Greenfield scored on their 1st five possessions in the first half to roll to a 34-9 halftime lead. Hillsboro had 2 fumbles & an interception that set up three of the McClain scores.

Ryan Faulconer of McClain (4-6/1-6) had 137 yards rushing & scored three times. Thomas Schrader returning from an injury that kept him out the last 2 weeks threw for 178 yards & 3 TDs including a 92 yard toss to Alex Hollar. McClain had 480 yards in total offense.

CHIILLICOTHE 57, PORTSMOUTH 27

Looks like the Cavs are in the playoffs. Whether they can hold on for a home game will be know later in the weekend. At 1 point the game was tied at 13 each before Chillicothe pulled away in the 2nd half.
